Carports

Metal Dreams is a custom metal carport company for Arkansas property owners who are fed up with having to clear an ice-covered windshield and hail dents on their vehicles in April. We have regular, boxed-eave and vertical roof models, ranging from one car to multi-bay roofs which cover both trucks and tractors and equipment. Typically we will recommend vertical panels on larger frames, as these panels let water drain down the panel rather than remain on it. You specify the width, length and leg height, and if it’s wind-driven rain you’re worried about, we can fit partial side panels on the weather side. Easy to install, lasts a long time and is the least expensive covering to install over a vehicle.

RV Cover

We construct RV covers for the clearance that a real RV requires, Class A coaches, 5th wheels, rooftop air conditioner and width to fit slide-outs and awnings. Eleven months of parking a year is the worst thing for sun damage to something, chalking gelcoat, drying roof sealant and cracking tire sidewalls. Our covers stop that. Most customers request that we close the back wall and one side for the metal structures, where the wind rating applies, as this will prevent the dreaded weather elements from getting through the wall, but will not create the enclosed building with varying permit requirements. If it is the proper size it will last longer than one roof reseal and cost less.

Garages

Metal Dreams builds fully enclosed steel garages from one to four bays, with your choice of roll-up or side-hinge doors, walk doors placed where you actually enter, and windows where you want daylight. They are designed to frame tools, ATVs, classic cars, working equipment, etc. so that they won’t sit outside. Before quoting, we’ll ask about two things: insulation, since an uninsulated metal roof will sweat during an Arkansas spring, drip onto whatever is underneath and wall height, since that will determine if a lift can be added later. We install over concrete, gravel or bare ground and specify the anchoring to match. Constructed to your specifications rather than from a size chart.

Shops

Shops are clear-span with no interior posts, they are working shops. 40 feet of span equals 40 feet of usable space — no obstacles to work around, no obstacles between lift and long piece of stock. Metal Dreams frames for the loads real work puts on a structure: overhead hoists, welding benches, compressors and daily moving machinery. When you ask for a quote for a height, we ask you what you’re doing there first, as this is one thing you can’t change later. The wiring chases, insulation, bay doors, and ventilation are all called out beforehand rather than added on after the building is erected.

Barndomilliums

A barndominium lets you live where you work without building twice, and Metal Dreams engineers the shell that makes it possible. Steel framing provides clear span interiors; the living space is arranged around the way you live instead of where the posts must go. The footprint, eave height, the roof pitch, window and door locations, insulation and exterior finish we handle and divide the shop and residence according to your plan. Our wood-look panel prints allow the exterior to look like wood, while acting as steel. We try to craft these in such a way as neither half feels as if they’re settling for the other half, which is why people opt for the format.

Commercial section

Metal Dreams constructs warehouses, fleet maintenance bays, equipment storage, retail shells, and barns for businesses throughout Arkansas. We design to your operation loads and clearances and code compliance and schedule are guaranteed, not hoped for. Clear-span framing ensures an open floor plan for racking, forklift traffic and equipment that needs to move. We fit doors to your machinery, not to a standard sized doorway, and we design mezzanines, offices and insulation fit into the shell, not on the back. Contractors/Developers in Conway, Bentonville and Fayetteville continue to call us back because the drawings are what they receive.
